The Phoenix Theatre Company

...and the Black Tie Comedy Troupe, too!

Who WERE we?

The Phoenix Theatre Company was a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit aiming to educate through entertainment, a mission we chased for many years. As of January 2014, we have gone dormant.

Recently, we enveloped the Black Tie Comedy Troupe to help us further this goal. While PTC probably won't be doing much in the near future, BTCT very well may see the light of day before then. Together, we're doing what we can to bring entertainment and education together for folks of all ages.

The Black Tie Comedy Troupe strove to create laughter through performance and writing, and to broaden the horizon of students in the realms of acting, speaking, and writing comedic material, as well as funding the things they care about.

What we did: The Black Tie Comedy Troupe performed fundraisers for schools, theatres, non-profits, and local businesses. Our members brought the show, you supplied the space. Afterwards, we split the profits. You received a fundraiser for little work on your part. As long as we have a space to perform in, we take care of everything else. We secured the rights to the show, we advertised, we held a raffle at each performance for copies of plays, et cetera. Of course, should you want to run concessions or help with advertising, you are most welcome to.

We may be back to doing shows, but that doesn't change that we'd greatly appreciate a donation.

As a 501(c)(3), we can offer tax-deductable donations through PayPal.
